My Vision

"I knew I was meant to be a physical therapist the moment I read the vision statement of the American Physical Therapy Association: 'Transforming society by optimizing movement to improve the human experience.'  The two things that spoke to me were 'optimizing' and 'human experience.'

"Like the APTA, I don't believe in perfecting the human body - I believe in optimizing each human body and remembering what is best for one, may not be the best movement, treatment, therapy, routine and neuromuscular patterning for another.

"I think it's also important to remember we ARE HUMANS, not robots.  Our bodies are processes, not things.  We are ever-changing.  The things your body has experienced in its lifetime, and the corresponding reactions are unique.  We should remember climbing to the top, may require different paths, tools and time."
