What is Physical Therapy?

The World Confederation for Physical Therapy Defines "Physical Therapy" as ...

"Services provided by physical therapists to individuals and populations to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout the lifespan. The service is provided in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by ageing, injury, pain, diseases, disorders, conditions or environmental factors and with the understanding that functional movement is central to what it means to be healthy."

Can Physical Therapy Help Me?

Physical Therapy is a Plan,

Not a Pill.

Physical Therapy isn't easy, but it works!  If you want to feel better, if you are willing to put in the work, if you understand it's not a quick fix, if you know it is part of a lifestyle change and you are willing to commit, then YES! You are an excellent candidate for physical therapy.

Physical Therapy is appropriate for:

  • Pre-operative Conditioning

  • Post-operative Rehabilitation

  • Post-Stroke Rehabilitation

  • Chronic Injuries

  • Acute (New) Injuries

  • Recurring Injuries

  • Musculoskeletal Dysfunction & Pain

  • Addressing Poor Body Posture and Mechanics

  • More!
